Learning agility does not stand for what you have learned or what you know. Rather, it is a human characteristic, you can say. It is one’s ability to learn something new faster and clearer. There should be a hunger for knowledge in every executive that can make you learn and grow. When one is restless, he will find new ways to achieve more. Being edgy is very important in life, whether it is for growing your business or elsewhere. There are five characteristics which are the bedrock of a person’s learning agility-

  1. Mental Agility– When one is in a complex situation, it is very important to know how to handle. Mental agility means how one can deal the complexity of the situation when the wind is blowing from unfavourable
  2. Change Agility– You are an executive and running a business. You have to follow the theory of ‘Survival of the Fittest’. And you can only survive once you are open to accepting changes. You must have a preference to face the adverse situation and change yourself as per the demand for time.
  3. People Agility– When you are running a business, you need to meet several types of people. You need to know how to communicate differently with them.
  4. Results Agility– The final result will talk to you. Are you capable of delivering the end result within the deadline? That is the key to a successful business.
  5. Self-Awareness– You may be successful, but you can handle success until you are down to earth. Everyone makes mistakes. Only they can survive who can learn from their mistakes and proceed. If you are aware of your weaknesses, you can turn those into your strength and play with your trump card. That is the success story of every high-end business person.
